Vintage Tea Party

On Saturday the 26th of March I hosted a vintage tea party for my birthday in my own back yard. This was great fun planning and baking everything in preparation for the tea party. Luckily my mom is a great cook and helped me a lot.

Queen of Hearts

My sister’s youngest daughter, Lea, turned 5 on the 3rd of March 2011.

She requested an all pink and all hearts party. I tried my best to make all her wishes come true.

We planned two parties, one for the family and then one for friends from school.
The first party was a picnic under some oak trees and next to a tranquil swimming spot. The kids had lots of fun playing “boeresport” and swimming.
The second party was held on the “stoep” of their farmhouse. It had a nice farm feeling to it. The parents gathered round the fire till late, while the kids played in the dust.
May the Queen of Hearts have love forever!

Pink & Green Polkadot Party

On a cool summer morning, I had the privilege of helping my sister-in-law and my brother setting up their 1 year old daughter's first birthday party.

We started planning months beforehand to ensure everything was perfect for their little princess.

The little ones were seated on the grass under a gazebo, decorated with flags and balloons. No need for chairs as they are quite comfortable sitting on the grass and it is much safer.

I have also designed the birthday invitation for this festive event in little Mia’s life. She might not remember this event one day, but she surely enjoyed it!
